    Leads the Consumer Business Unit Marketing function by partnering with Division General Managers, Division Marketers, Consumer Business Unit (BU) Executives and Corporate Marketing to establish a strategic direction for BU Marketing, integrate initiatives where appropriate, implement global marketing initiatives, and manage global marketing team. Responsible for the marketing function, including strategy development/planning, identification business needs, selection of most effective vehicles, budget management and research/metrics. In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, sets and implements digital marketing strategy. Has close alignment to UL Global Sales Council and UL Global Account Managers. Is an active member of the UL Global Marketing Council.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Responsible for working closely with Division General Managers for defining and delivering marketing strategies, selection of most effective vehicles, budget management and research/metrics.
    • Responsible and leads internal communications for the Consumer Business Unit.
    • Manages marketing budget and resources across the business unit.
    • Directs marketing team including content developers and program managers to ensure the implementation of effective print and digital based campaigns. Supports Marketing and Sales leaders in each division
    • Works closely with key internal and external stakeholders to develop strategic marketing direction. Oversees day-to-day relationship with selected agencies to drive campaigns and plans.
    • Responsible for working closely with Division General Managers for defining and delivering marketing strategies, selection of most effective vehicles, budget management and research/metrics.
    • Educates team on new social media and digital tools and effectively leverages them to create a dialogue with consumer target audience
    • Partners with UL’s Corporate Communications team to create synergies and alignment and ensure brand compliance.
    • Responsible for harmonizing marketing processes, tools, people across the Consumer Business Unit.
    • Works with related Division General Managers to maximize value of every campaign.
    • Manages the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
    • Performs other duties as directed.

    Qualifications

    • University degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field, and 10 years of professional marketing experience with prior marketing experience program managing marketing strategy. Masters in Business or Advertising preferred.
    • Strong Digital Marketing Background
    • Deep understanding of demand generation
    • Deep understanding of segmentation
    • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and negotiate agreements
    • Strategic Management experience with oversight of creative marketing personnel.
    • Ability to work in a matrix environment
    • Strong business and marketing strategy acumen.
