    Responsibilities

    Work directly with the UL Firefighter Safety Research Institute's full-time marketing content developer, marketing team, and other UL departments to assist in the creation of all marketing content development needs including video production, audio capture, photography, graphic design, and motion graphics.

    • Create pre-production plans including but not limited to scripts, shot lists, check lists, story boards, etc.
    • Capture compelling visual content utilizing professional photo and video cameras (Canon) and lenses while utilizing professional camera support, studio and field lighting and audio gear.
    • Edits photo, video, and motion graphic content utilizing Mac computers equipped with Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Premiere, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator as well as other color grading and 360 photo stitching software.
    • Search for high quality professional music to be used in videos.
    • Assemble multi-view experiment videos.
    • Archive content and work with content in archives to create new content.
    • Keep production gear in good, clean, working condition.
    • Interact and work with other UL FSRI Research Engineers, personnel, and associates in a professional manner to develop and capture content.
    • Travel with UL FSRI team to test sites and work on site to capture and create content (this may include working longer-than-average work days).
    • Manage content on social media outlet channels.
    • Perform other duties as directed.

    Qualifications

    • High School Graduate or GED required.
    • Proficiency using both Mac and Windows computers
    • Experience working with Adobe Premiere and After Effects on Mac Computers
    • Experience using professional camcorders and DSLRs.
    • Experience using professional audio capturing gear.
    • Experience using professional lights and lighting modifiers.
    • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work quickly to meet deadlines.
    • Must be able to work on feet for long periods of time while carrying and operating heavy cameras and gear.
    • Must be able to perform work duties in less-than-desirable weather conditions.
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license
