    The User Experience Designer guides the team through user-centered design activities, blending business & user goals to create the ideal user experience. A strong desire to contribute in all areas of UI is what sets you apart from others.  The UX Designer documents this process and is responsible for the final information structure. Common project deliverables are personas, use-case scenarios, workflow diagrams, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, functional specifications, editorial and information design recommendations.  



    • Plays a critical role in design and implementation of new features.
    • Responsible for gathering user requirements, analyzing/recommending experience design, and overseeing execution of those requirements. Defend design decisions with research.
    • Works with scrum teams to understand technology limitations and how implementation decisions impact user experience in terms of browser compatibility, accessibility, usability and performance.
    • Participates in key technical meetings to guide teams towards developing effective and satisfying user interfaces.
    • Develops designs by analyzing target audience, objectives, user needs, and business needs.
    • Creates user interface design within established architectural and product standards. Considers navigation and information architecture as it applies to solutions.
    • Develops use scenarios, navigational structures, sitemaps, user/task flows, and wireframes.
    • Develops final artwork (e.g., buttons, icons, illustrations) for software user interfaces and learning aids.
    • Creates interactive prototypes to present and support usability tests of user interface design concepts.
    • Delivers capabilities presentations to prospective clients
    • Conducts UX research including usability testing (local and remote).
    • Helps development teams troubleshoot and fix UI problems.
    • Ensures products have a consistent and cohesive user experience.
    • Guides content creators/publishers and developers in usability best practices and GUI standards.
    • Leads design reviews, style guideline development, and presentations on style standards and UX conventions.
    • Collaborate with UI team on interface design and interaction.
    • Champion UX and help the entire UI team achieve their goals.
    • Effectively sets priorities to work efficiently and manage one’s time.


    BS or higher degree in interaction design, human factors engineering, visual design, graphic design, or a related field.

    • 2+ years working in software user interface design.
    • Exceptional conceptual and visual design skills.
    • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Capable of working within a team in a full development life cycle.

    Other Desired Skills:

    • Experience with usability engineering in the medical and/or healthcare industry is a major plus
    • Well-versed in web standards such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as browser capabilities.
    • Extensive experience with JavaScript libraries/frameworks/platforms (e.g., jQuery, Angular, Node).
    • Development habits founded on programming design patterns, clean code, and test-driven development.
