    Responsibilities

    The Senior Sustainability Consultant is responsible for helping to grow the UL Environment circular economy facts program and practice area, and/or other new service offerings as developed by UL Environment, by helping establish and manage an external “consulting network”. This network will be charged with executing services such as “circular economy 101 training”, “circular economy roadmapping” and initial training and pre-assessments activities with small- and medium-sized firms. The Senior Sustainability Consultant will plan and direct program schedules and budgets, monitor program from project initiation through delivery, and oversee coordination of program / project activities generally. The position also help develop and maintain engagement tools and templates for external and internal UL service delivery team member work, and will support execution of projects delivered by the network and / or internal UL service delivery team members.

     

    Job Responsibilities:

    Deliverables in YEAR 1:

    • Stand up and manage the consulting network (60% - 80% of the time)
    • Collaborate with service delivery team on internal project execution
    • Support engagement with Sales and Commercial team
    • Responsible for executing on at least $500k USD of revenue through the consulting network

    Deliverables in YEAR 2:

    • Contribute to overall business development activity
    • Grow total revenue for which candidate is responsible by 10%
    • Grow practice area market by 40%

    • Establish goals to meet objectives
    • Frequently interacts with other team members, customers; maintain open and collaborative relationships with other UL team members
    • Work with remote teams in different time zones and cultures
    • Moderate travel required
    • Contribute to UL Environment’s intellectual capital through research and writing
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • University degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field plus generally 6 years’ directly related experience.
    • 3+ years of client consulting experience strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to facilitate customer meetings, negotiate and influence outcomes.
    • Strong program/project management and leadership skills to set priorities and manage projects utilizing personnel from multiple disciplines.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
    • Superior skills with common Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel).
    • Excellent research skills.
