    Responsibilities

    Perform social compliance assessments in a variety of manufacturing sites, farms, processing plants and/or other work related sites throughout a region or country. The social compliance auditor assesses and reports in accordance with UL Responsible Sourcing and client audit protocols on facilities working conditions as it relates to established code of conducts, initiatives and/or client programs. Auditors are expected to write comprehensive reports in English in an objective, accurate, detail and timely manner.

     

    1. Execute accurate, objective and high quality social compliance assessments by implementing all requirements indicated in the client specific procedures, auditor training and audits scope.
    2. Prepare in advance by downloading and reading audit documents related to upcoming audits.
    3. Document and report the audit findings/observations.
    4. Communicate audit results to facility management in a professional, objective, and clear manner.
    5. Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions taken as a result of audit.
    6. Cooperate with and support other auditors and staff.
    7. Submit complete audit reports in a timely manner.
    8. Promptly address any clarification queries from the reviewing team
    9. Complete all assigned training activities and actively participate in training sessions.
    10. Apply feedback from reviewers, training supervisor, quality manager and client facing team to future work for continuous improvement.
    11. Treat privileged information with discretion and ensure all audit related documents and results remain confidential and well-guarded.
    12. Update country law profiles for assigned country/region in support of the audit process & advisory services and update appropriate tracking tools.

    Qualifications

    • University degree in a related discipline. 
    • Interest in international labor standards, human rights & environment issues. 
    • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, Access, e-mail and other company Software programs. 
    • Honest, trustworthy and reliable – Able to maintain high ethical standards.
    • Excellent mathematical skills and analytical skills. Creative and innovative thinking to problem solve and streamline processes.
    • Demonstrated written, oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of in-house staff and clients.
    • Ability to remain objective and professional in challenging situations.
    • Ability to travel 90-100% of the time.
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred. 
    • FIELD BASED POSITION, heavy travel
