    Responsibilities

    The Automotive Industry is experiencing an unprecedented time of technology breakthroughs and innovation. Join the front line of UL’s Consumer Technology division as an Inside Sales professional at our Metro Detroit automotive test facility. Support auto industry OEMs’ and suppliers’ with testing and certification needs before the new models hit the road by selling the breadth of UL’s solutions. This is our NORMAL and you can make a difference in the mobility revolution!

    We are seeking an outgoing, strong team player with excellent communication skills to join our Automotive Sales team. We’re ready to grow and would like to hear from you!

     

    • Listen and understand the needs of customers, propose the complete range of UL services, provide value, handle objections, anticipate hurdles and clear the way for clients’ success.
    • Manage the business transaction process and update client account information
    • Close sales opportunities through direct communication with clients. 
    • Follow-up on marketing campaigns to increase customer contact rate.
    • Collaborate with clients and UL’s expert engineering staff
    • Support your local team and colleagues around the world to delight UL’s customers

    Qualifications

    • High School Degree required, Associates or Bachelors preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years in a sales, customer service or related field
    • Automotive industry knowledge
    • Demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding quotas
    • Proficient in MS Office and experience with Dynamics CRM is a plus
    • Experience in Oracle preferred
    • Solutions orientated with customer focus
    • Sales Training (Herman Miller, Sandler, etc.) 
    • Strong communication skills 
    • Experience in developing quotations, booking orders, customer agreements
    • Interest in science, new technology, and learning something new everyday
