    UL Life & Health Sciences is a division of Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL) providing services to solve our clients needs in the Medical Device / Medical Technology industries. UL L&HS is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic, growing sales team. This position is responsible for servicing current accounts as well as penetrating new accounts and driving UL L&HS products and services across assigned strategic accounts.  This individual will need to work independently in an assigned territory prospecting new accounts with the L&HS portfolio. The Account Executive's focus is heavily concentrated on lead generation/prospecting/selling activities to drive new business. Additionally, this person should be comfortable with technology, presenting to the highest level of an enterprise’s organization. At UL, we provide our clients with the tools, guidance and expertise they need to navigate the challenging healthcare regulatory environment. 

    Responsibilities

    Identifies and pursues prospects through various lead generated activities, including tradeshow, advertising, partner and cold-calling on key industry players. Aggressive follow-up on marketing to qualified leads and nurturing opportunities.

     

    • Meets with prospect to understand their purchase decisions, decision making criteria and needs.
    • Develops sales presentations for potential new clients. Leads the sales presentations in support of growing the clientele for UL’s services.
    • Responsible for meeting with and presenting to the highest profile/potential clients.
    • Provides value propositions, handles objections, prepares quotes and closes sales by getting prospects commitments.
    • Identifies and resolves a wide range of issues with little or no supervision.
    • Meets and exceeds sales performance.
    • Managing contacts and sales transaction pipeline in the UL CRM system.
    • Creating profitable, satisfied clients.
    • Orchestrating sales by working effectively with sales operations, solutions consultants, finance, professional services, marketing, advisory team, product management and sales management.
    • Keeps current with the latest developments and trends in the Medical Device/Technology/EHR industry.
    • Learning and applying sales techniques and approaches that drive results.

    Qualifications

    • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelors degree) in a related discipline and minimum of 4 years sales experience within a fast-paced and results driven culture.
    • Previous experience solution selling within the medical device / medical technology industry. 
    • Experience in hunter role calling on prospects and ability to develop opportunities.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Strong problem solving skills and comfortable with technology / consulting solutions.
    • Requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, work independently and be a problem solver.
    • Advanced written and verbal communications skills, including presenting tailored presentations.
    • Capable of making contact and interacting at all levels of an organization.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • Up to 50% travel within the respective territory -- OH, MI, IN, IL 
    • Remote work available - location OPEN
