    Responsible for the management of software developers in the analysis, development, and modification of complex software systems programs. Develops and executes software strategies in support of product capabilities. Manages the development and establishment of department standards and procedures. Directs and coordinates system analysis efforts to maintain and upgrade current systems. Manages software and/or product related technology.


    • Oversees all steps of system development life cycles to assure conformance with established standards.
    • Interfaces with other departments to establish and analyze product technology needs.
    • Provides direction and assistance to complete analysis of software technology projects and programs.
    • Develops long and short-range strategic operating plans for the implementation and deployment of software services.
    • Monitors and coordinates the installation of new and enhanced systems with user departments.
    • Determines the appropriate staffing for assigned software services. Directs the selection and training of personnel within the limits of organization administrative policy.
    • Responsible for Service Level Agreements or Operational Level Agreements for assigned software services.
    • Manages the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and followed.
    • Performs other duties as directed.


    • University Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline plus generally eight years of directly related experience.
    • Some employee management or project management experience.
    • Detailed knowledge of the delivery of quality software services.
