    Responsibilities

    UL is looking for an engineer with interest in the consumer product design and implementation process.  This position involves using engineering training and experience to assist our clients in improving their products, and to support the development of our own lighting test equipment and the software used in its data collection.  Other projects will be across a wide variety of industries. 

     

    Strong academic performance and project leadership is desired.  Project work type will vary including design analysis, root cause investigation, specification review, test planning, FMEA development, project management and other tasks in the product development process.  Strong written and verbal skills are required to communicate with customers and colleagues.  The position will require occasional irregular travel to visit clients and other UL sites.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree from ABET accredited engineering program - Computer Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Computer Science degree
    • Proficiency with C sharp and C
    • Experience with Java and HTML
    • Experience with mobile application development
    • Experience with LabView
    • Comfortable presenting project results directly to customers
    • Ability to create and execute project schedules
    • Great communication skills
