 The Corporate Accounting team supports for all areas of the UL business. We provide on-going financial advice and counsel to all levels within our corporation. Our team handles monthly global consolidation, prepares monthly and annual financial statements, monitors internal controls, and coordinates with external audits and regulatory reviews. In addition, our group is also in charge of finance integration for recent acquisitions.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIABILITIES:

  • Assists the Consolidations group with monthly closing procedures
  • Assists the Consolidations group with preparing accurate and timely monthly financial statements and other management reports
  • Assists in obtaining explanations or supporting documentation for monthly p&l analytics, intercompany accounting results and quarterly balance sheet reviews
  • Participates in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements
  • Supports the new revenue recognition implementation team to analyze the accounting differences and potential financial impact between old and new GAAP
  • Assists technical accounting manager in monitoring statutory financial reporting
  • Assists the team in preparing training materials and updating accounting policies
  • Performs special projects as required

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Major or minor in Accounting
  • Satisfactory completion of intermediate accounting coursework preferred
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
