Responsibilities

Job function:

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of UL-Go and work closely with the UL-Go leadership team to drive UL-Go information activities for the Appliance, HVAC and Lighting division. He/She will develop research planning and help drive and develop processes for optimizing the core and new information programs in accordance with UL-Go strategic goals. Responsible for standardized operational procedures, develops best practices, and ensures the information in UL-Go is consistent and accurate.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Owns the data entry of regulatory requirements for appliances, HVAC and lighting equipment, including but not limited to Safety, EMC, Energy Efficiency and Environment Requirements for the Globe.
  • On-going maintenance and testing of the UL-Go database and platform to assure a consistent experience for all customers and subscribers and ensures the consistent formatting of the data.
  • Manages the scheduling of research and maintenance to support UL-Go and research projects with the research team in the Philippines and ensures the quality and accuracy of the regulatory information.
  • Works closely with UL-Go Leadership to understand priorities and propose solutions and ensure success of key priorities.
  • Partners with UL’s other industry teams to develop effective management of data to ensure subscribersenjoy the same experience.
  • Implements best practices to successfully drive and improve information research, maintenance and efficiency through successful execution across all divisions.
  • Manage relationships with government authorities and also all key stakeholders in the region. Will own, develop and maintain a basic understanding of where to find regulatory requirements.
  • Manages customer expectations during initial customer consultations.
  • Provides regulatory support for UL-Go subscribers.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task & prioritize work load.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications

University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an accredited university. Two or more years of experience in Global Market Access is a plus.

  • Ability to identify and manage priorities as demonstrated by the ability to establish, track and meet schedules for multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate skillfully with both internal and external groups in order to achieve desired outcomes without damaging relationships.  
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem solving skills
  • Confident, calm and decisive personality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills and time management are required.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
