Overview

We are looking for a customer-focused project management professional to join our Retail Operations team!

 

The Project Specialist is responsible for working closely with our WERCSmart retail customers to implement and support our vital compliance, safety and supply chain solutions (https://www.ulwercsmart.com/).

 

Under minimal supervision our chosen candidate will independently plan and carry out complex and high-level (often of a highly confidential nature) projects to achieve stated objectives. Individual will also:

 

  • support the planning and direction of project schedules and budgets.
  • support the management of project activities generally within a department or functional area.

Note: projects may include cost studies, assessments of operations, methods, and procedures, and reviews of organization structures.

 

Responsibilities

Generic responsibilities may include:

 

  • Performs needs analyses to identify areas for study or opportunities for new programs.
  • Develops project or program goals and strategies.
  • Determines methodology and development plans. Develops estimates of cost, time, and resource needs.
  • Collects data from a variety of sources, evaluates and interprets data, and draws conclusions.
  • Conducts cost/benefit analyses.
  • Prepares and presents reports or program proposals which include recommendations and supporting arguments. May present reports to corporate level audiences.
  • Develops and implements processes, information systems, and performance measurement systems.
  • Manages program performance by evaluating performance to standards and implementing corrective actions.
  • Serves on committees and represents the viewpoint of management.
  • May supervise the work of other individuals within department or functional area.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

 

Specific respsonsibilities may include:

  • Implement the WERCSmart solution with new retail partners and manage projects through their life cycle
  • Engage with existing retail partners to support and grow their solution and meet any changing needs in their business
  • Analyze and problem solve for external customers, both suppliers and retailers, as well as internal partners
  • Regular correspondence, relationship building and continued support with assigned retail partners
  • Recommend and develop new solutions important to the needs of the clients, maintain and expand existing solutions
  • Collaborate with Business Development to generate new Revenue streams and maintain existing Revenue streams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Developers, IT, QA testers, Customer Support and Regulatory team members
  • Communicate project status, progress on deliverables and risks to stakeholders and leadership
  • Be able to adapt to change, manage shifting priorities and multitask on many projects, tasks assigned and support as needed
  • Special projects may be assigned as needed and would follow the project life cycle
  • Occasional travel to retail partner locations, trade shows and user group venues 

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration or related field plus generally 6 years of directly related experience.

 

  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify needs for projects or programs, formulate objectives, plan and execute projects and/or programs, and manage programs.
