UL is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Project Manager to lead the client registration process for UL’s new client portal. The new portal will help clients collaborate with UL more efficiently while also helping them identify and access solutions to business challenges. The role will require close collaboration with enterprise clients, UL executive leadership and multiple internal project teams. A successful candidate will have extensive project management expertise, a client-focused mindset, strong presentation skills, and ability to make critical decisions that ensure program budgets and timelines are met.

In this role you will manage the overall client transition plan to register clients to UL’s new portal. You will work with all businesses, functions and segments across the company to ensure a successful rollout. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Creation and execution of detailed project plan for successful 2018 rollout
  • Manage the performance of direct or indirect reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives and tracking KPIs to project goals
  • Direct communication with UL clients to understand their business challenges and identify how UL can assist using digital solutions
  • Direct communication and collaboration with regional business leads in all parts of the world to assist them in introduction of new portal to their client base
  • Direct communication with UL’s Field Engineering teams to assist them in introduction of new portal to clients
  • Direct communication with UL Marketing team(s)
  • Regularly interact with senior management on matters concerning project status, client feedback and more
  • Performs other duties as directed



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • PMP Certification is preferred
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Effective and sophisticated communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team-oriented with the ability to lead and delegate/assimilate tasks
  • Strong program/project management and leadership skills, including previous experience leading large-scale, global, company-wide initiatives
  • Ability to identify and resolve risks associated with project management
  • Ability to facilitate client meetings, negotiate and influence outcomes
  • Ability to work in and effectively navigate a matrix organization while managing direct and in-direct reports
  • Ability to establish, track and meet schedules for multiple projects while maintaining high quality deliverables and exceptional client service
