UL Transaction Security focusses on securing and certifying large, mission critical digital transaction infrastructures such as payment networks, ticketing infrastructures, and mobile commerce environments. In North America the key focus points of UL Transaction Security are EMV migration, mobile payments and security. UL provides in-depth technical advisory services, testing and certification services, security services, and accredited testing platforms to relevant stakeholders in the market.

UL is recruiting for Senior Sales Executives for our Southeast region to join the growing UL Transaction Security North America Commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and creating pipeline in your assigned territory.

We are looking for highly motivated, dynamic and skilled sales professionals to help drive sales and growth in our organization? You will focus your efforts on promoting and selling UL’s payments and security services. Your key customers will be issuers, acquirers, processors, secure HW and SW vendors, MNO’s, Banks; payment networks (Brands), mobile payment innovators.

  • Desired Skills and Responsibilities Task and Responsibilities
  • New account development and expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory. This position sells ULs test automation products and testing, advisory and security services.
  • Have an existing network in the payments, transit, mobile, and/or security industry.
  • Meeting and exceeding your sales target
  • Generate leads and manage the complete sales cycle
  • Consultative selling approach Respond effectively to urgent and sensitive customer needs
  • Identifies and pursues prospects through various lead generated activities, including tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling, on key industry players and referral program.
  • Meets with prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process criteria, and their needs.
  • Develops sales presentations for potential new clients.
  • Provides value propositions, handles objections, prepares quotes, and closes sales by getting prospects’ commitments.
  • Retains existing customers and grows footprint within those clients.
  • Supports rest of staff in the identification and evaluation of important customer information.
  • Performs other duties as directed.




Payment industry experience.

  • Understanding of EMV technology and chip migration in the US..
  • Experience in the security industry (e.g. FIPS, Common Criteria, PCI).
  • Good understanding of the different payment industry players and regulatory requirements.
  • A strong network in the US market, specifically the Southeastern US.
  • 8 years of relevant working experience, in the Payments or Security industry.

  • Four Year University degree (BA/BS degree or equivalent) in a related discipline, preferably with a technical background
  • Ability to understand the customers’ business and how our services fit into the context of their business.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, capable of building custom solutions and value propositions
  • Capable of giving technical product demos to end users
  • Strong cold calling, networking, canvassing and other sales tactics
  • B2B outside sales experience
  • Capable of writing clear, concise and compelling commercial proposals
  • Flexible and creative, you will be dealing with the industries innovative players
  • Result-driven attitude, able to build, maintain and grow key accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prepared to travel throughout the Southeastern United States and occasionally to Europe
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA
