Exciting Sales opportunity with our Energy & Power Technologies team in Northern California! 



Under general supervision, the Sales Executive is responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory in Northern California, and surrounding areas, in the Energy & Power Technologies Industry. UL’s proven expertise in safety science and engineering enables us to serve the entire energy industry, from traditional power sources to the newest solutions. Our extensive, flexible service portfolio covers all of our customers’ core business needs, such as research and development, global market access, installation and end use. The Sales Executive sells ULs products, systems, and/or services to customers in the Testing, Inspection and Certification market (TIC).


The Sales Executive:

  • Identifies and pursues prospects through various lead generated activities, including tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling, on key industry players and referral program.
  • Meets with prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process criteria, and their needs.
  • Supports the development of sales presentations. Supports the sales presentations in support of growing the clientele for ULs services.
  • Provides value propositions, handles objections, prepares quotes, and closes sales by getting prospects’ commitments.
  • Retains existing customers that are not managed by account management teams.
  • Performs other duties as directed.


The successful candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of the Energy & Power Technologies Industry
  • Sales Experience with Product Safety Certification
  • At least 5 years of outside sales experience.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and concisely.
  • General knowledge of company policies and sales processes, products and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects to stated objectives.
  • Able to navigate significant business travel and work outside of the office.
