Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision, performs specialized laboratory testing and analyses of substantial variety and complexity. Performs calculations, prepares reports and assess proper calibration and standardization of equipment and procedures. Applies client specific requirements to perform specialized testing. Performs instrumentation, software, methodology troubleshooting, and complex essay preparation.

 

  1. Performs routine tests and procedures and utilizes GMP/GLP practices.
  2. Apply skills to perform published methods that are of complex nature with little or no aid from senior laboratory staff.
  3. Performs calculations, prepares reports, and assesses proper calibration and standardization of equipment and procedures.
  4. Implements tests and procedures requiring selection and adaptation of test equipment and test procedures. Records and analyzes data and prepares written reports and procedures.
  5. Performs Instrumentation, Software, Methodology Troubleshooting, and Complex Assay preparation.
  6. Applies client specific requirements to perform specialized testing.
  7. May be required to train others to perform routine and more complex tasks.
  8. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Chemistry or a related discipline plus generally ten years of laboratory experience.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and other software, as well as the ability to troubleshoot instrument failures using fundamental theories of operation.
