UL–Wiklund is a global Human Factors Engineering (HFE) consultancy with offices in Concord, MA; Northbrook, IL; Utrecht, The Netherlands; and Tokyo, Japan. UL-Wiklund's staff consists of over 45 human factors professionals with degrees in disciplines such as human factors, engineering, psychology, and industrial design.



UL-Wiklund is an industry leader in providing user research, design support, usability testing, evaluation and human factors training services to its clients. Many leading medical device and health product manufacturers rely upon our services to produce safe and satisfying products. Our work involves the research, design, and evaluation of diagnostic and therapeutic devices as well as information management systems. Our research and design portfolio includes products and systems such as hemodialysis machines, glucose meters, insulin pumps, heart pumps, nerve stimulators, inhalers, defibrillators, X-ray systems, and multiple surgical tools. Our portfolio also includes non-medical products such as consumer products, automotive diagnostic tools, and software applications. Tasks would include:


Tasks would include:

  1. Supports usability testing, field research, individual interviews, and group interviews.
  2. Assists with the evaluation of deliverables and ensures that they meet quality standards.
  3. Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate client user interface designs.
  4. Assists with client presentations to review testing results and provide solutions to identified improvement areas.
  5. Coordinates the selection of individual and group interviews in support of client testing.
  6. Supports the preparation of Investigational Review Board submissions.
  7. Prepares laboratory for usability testing.
  8. Performs other duties as directed.


Classes in Human Factors Engineering or a related discipline.


Ability to communicate and present effectively.
