Responsibilities

The Sales Generalist for the Appliances, HVAC and Lighting industry will assist the sales staff in responding to customer needs. You will be responsible for processing orders from our sales staff and you will have direct customer contact. Additionally, you will maintain customer files with sales contacts and other information. You will be responsible for processing quotations and orders and responding to various customer inquiries.

Your job will be to:

  • Issue quotations based on information obtained from sales and engineering departments.
  • Process orders into the ERP system after quotes are accepted.
  • Collect legal and financial information from the customer before forwarding to service fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with departments regarding customer status, prices, product or service availability.
  • Interact with customers by responding to order inquiries.
  • Communicate with customers and sales representatives on quote and order status.
  • Maintain and update customer data following specific processes.

 

This role is located in Research Triangle Park, NC and reports to the Sales Support Manager.

 

This role requires strong customer service and communication skills and is an opportunity to positively enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have a Higher Secondary Education and one year of directly related experience.
  • Have a proactive nature, enjoying customer contact.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Have high interest in learning new IT systems and demonstrated ability to use various PC-based software packages
  • Have a high sense of responsibility and commitment along with the ability to work independently.
