UL Compliance To Performance helps our life sciences clients drive results in compliance, quality and performance so they can enter new markets, stay in those markets and grow. We provide complete solutions to business challenges, addressing processes, people and IT issues.  Our solutions are made of advisory, software and learning services, and support client needs from the early stages of market entry, through scale up and optimizing business performance.

 

We are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager responsible for managing outside sales activities for their team, taking an active role in coaching and counseling sales staff, and assisting the Sales Director and the Sales Management team lead the company to meet/exceed the projected sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Sales Director and the rest of the sales management team, develop, implement and manage plan to achieve annual sales goal. Forecast, meet and/or exceed committed goals related to sales bookings and revenue including, but not limited to, new customer revenue, renewals and expansions.
  • Expansion and management of the sales metrics to drive achievement of annual sales goals.
  • Day to day management of assigned outside sales team, including hiring and direct management of staff.
  • Continually review existing product, pricing and competition to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Help develop new product offerings, pricing strategies and partnerships, in conjunction with Sales Director, Advisory Solutions Director, Technology and Product Management leadership that will allow UL Compliance To Performance to meet and exceed their growth targets both domestically and internationally.
  • Develop strategic long-term partnerships with customers, and drive the development of solutions focused on customer needs and wants.
  • Manage the entire sales life cycle to ensure visibility into and predictability of the lead-to-close process.
  • Collaborate closely with other senior sales and business leaders across UL to identify commercial synergies and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Communicate vision and direction to the outside sales team, conduct regular department & individual meetings with staff, disseminate company information, act as an information conduit.
  • Manage and mentor outside Sales representatives through executing the following tasks:
  • Actively monitor and manage the performance of individual sales representative and the team through monitoring of weekly, monthly and quarterly sales metrics. Continuously improve metrics and reports and drive the optimize use of salesforce.com to provide valuable metrics and data.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of personal time management and the ability to maximize and prioritize the efforts of Sales representatives.
  • Monitor the implementation of the sales policies of the company.
  • Travel with Sales Executives to help close business.
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of prospects business practices and internal decision making process.
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of business processes and the operational environment of the target markets.
  • Identify and close long term relationships with national accounts.
  • Maintain contact with customers and prospects; insure awareness of our products and technology.
  • Continuous analysis and improvement of department-related programs, policies, processes and procedures, including pricing, contracts and CRM and hold sales team accountable for proper implementation and follow-through.
  • Coordinate training and all sales support tools and infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree, preferably in Business or Marketing. MBA preferred.
  • At least 10 years of proven success in sales of SaaS based solutions, preferably within Life Science industry.
  • At least 3 years of proven sales management success.
  • Demonstrable success accurately managing sales forecasting.
  • Demonstrable success implementing and maintaining effective sales processes.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire direct reports to achieve their goals.
