Responsibilities

Responsible for the management of Merger and Acquisition activity including prospecting, valuation, due diligence and supporting deal structuring/ negotiations. Manages all aspects of the M&A process for potential targets, strategic partnerships, alliances and joint ventures. Develops in-depth analysis of economic, industry, customer, competitor, and financial data to prepare detailed materials and analysis on potential acquisitions. 

  • Manages the development of financial projections for merger and acquisition targets. Performs discounted cash flow analysis, among other methodologies, to determine valuations. 
  • Manages cross-functional and cross-border teams of due diligence personnel in conjunction with reviewing potential M&A opportunities.  Serves as key contact point with target companies in coordinating due diligence processes. 
  • Supports business leaders in the identification and preliminary analysis of acquisition targets.  Serves as a key contact point with various business unit leaders with respect to providing strategic guidance as needed.
  • Liaison with business leaders to identify potential revenue synergies and potential cost savings.
  • Assists with the preparation of presentations that support the approval of acquisitions for the CEO and Board.
  • Performs other M&A and strategy related duties as directed.

Qualifications

  • University degree (Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree) in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration and a minimum five to seven year’s professional level experience in corporate development or a mergers and acquisitions function in a corporate environment.  Investment banking, private equity and strategic consulting experience would also be considered.
  • MBA degree, strongly preferred.
  • Independently develop detailed financial projections and related statements for all M&A opportunities.
  • Execute all phases of the transaction process across a diverse range of M&A targets.
  • Clearly and concisely present information and respond to inquiries from internal or external clients, top management, and government agencies.
  • Analyze and interpret a wide variety of materials including technical journals, detailed financial statements and related footnotes and legal documents.
  • Gather and interpret complex information from diverse sources in a wide variety of forms. 
  • Identify issues, collect and assess data and present conclusions in situations where few decisions-making guidelines exist
