The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for fabrication, installation, maintenance, major repairs and operation of all building equipment, accessories and components with minimal supervision.


  • Performs electrical, welding, carpentry and masonry work associated with all building equipment, accessories and components. This includes producing all support documentation such as calculations, materials lists and as built drawings.
  • Provides assistance in the various duties in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical, chemical and electrical disciplines.
  • Assists in problem solving and training of subordinates in the repair and installation of building equipment and components.
  • Performs other duties as directed


  • Higher Secondary Education with at least three to five years commercial maintenance & repair experience
  • Construction trade or building maintenance experience preferred, as well as electrician experience
  • Flexible attitude and aptitude to perform other duties and tasks assigned in the Maintenance Department
  • Strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and a team player
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted, and ability to work on ladders and aerial lifts
  • Availability for 2nd shift required
