About the Position

 

Under minimal supervision, the Customer Service / Inbound Sales Representative supports and enhances the overall UL experience for internal and external customers. Provides general customer service and administrative support for the complete order-cycle. Responds to general non-technical requests from customers. May have specific accounts assigned under their responsibility. Responds to moderately difficult inbound requests and sells products to customers via telephone or electronic inquiries. Must be able to close the sale on products systems, and/or services. Acts as part of a sales team, and supports professional sales staff. Sells lower tier products, supplies, and components and is also involved in order fulfillment, post-sales, or administrative related activities.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Review inbound inquiries and route them to the appropriate sales team.
  • Develop and send out quotations for specified categories of leads using standardized pricing tools, and booking orders.
  • Facilitate service delivery resource allocation by entering sales contracts into databases.
  • Perform follow-up of sent quotes and turn them into orders while meeting financial commitments.
  • Communicate with customers to assist in the completion of requests.
  • Receive inquiries from customers from various sources (phone and email), answer questions and/or resolve individual problems.
  • Coordinate and develop customer relationships by handling customer inquiries on such topics as My Home, invoicing, label and inspection, etc., opening new projects and supporting a smooth communication between customers and UL departments
  • Collect customer product information, identify the industry that will perform work, and communicate completion time commitments.
  • Prioritize customer needs, determine any special requirements, and obtain required information and samples to open the project.
  • Organize customer information by classifying and segmenting the customer, entering new or updated information into database, etc., using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Provide support for non-technical customer requests, including questions/issues such as billing inquiries, service requests and general UL information.
  • Assemble all required reports and documents to be sent to the client in a complete package, measure and monitor customer satisfaction through customer satisfaction reviews, follow up on concerns, inform customer of the certification, and closing the project.
  • Actively participate in teams to continuously improve and drive quality into UL’s service to the customer.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

If you have the below, we would like to hear from you

  • Bilingual (English/French) both written and oral would be an asset.
  • Higher Secondary Education and three years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to use various PC-based software packages for moderately complex word processing, graphics, and spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond appropriately to customer needs.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of sales processes (i.e. people, systems, and processes).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team Player.
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the environmental industry is a plus.
