Responsibilities

UL EHS Sustainability is seeking an Inbound Sales Specialist to join our growing Marketing team. The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and delivering high-quality sales opportunities to the Sales team. Playing a key role in the marketing and sales process, the Inbound Sales Specialist delivers against two objectives: (1) outreach to qualify contacts as a sales opportunity and (2) educate prospects about UL solutions to further that inquiry as a lead in our buying cycle. These objectives end with a goal of handing off highly qualified opportunities to the appropriate Sales rep/Sales Manager. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including prospect lists, discovery and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential! 

On a daily basis, the Inbound Sales Specialist will:

  • Follow up with prospects via telephone and email in order to generate client interest, qualify prospects, and develop new opportunities with decision makers
  • Maintain a continuous flow of daily outbound calls and emails, meeting established daily quotas to support lead generation
  • Conduct thorough prospect qualifications including the identification of prospects, their roles, decision makers and uncovering the fit/need for UL EHS Sustainability products
  • Build and cultivate relationships by initiating and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales process
  • Using an in-depth understanding of UL EHS Sustainability products, communicate the value proposition in a quick, compelling, and effective manner with key decision makers over the telephone
  • Provide first-hand feedback and recommendations on our marketing efforts based on direct experiences with potential clients
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients in the CRM, ensuring communications are logged, information is accurate and documents attached

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and grammar required
  • Possess strong planning, organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Proven effectiveness at conducting business conversations with people over the phone
  • 1+ year of inside sales, lead generation and/or executive level prospecting
  • Excellent relationship building / managing skills 
  • Technology savvy - working knowledge of current technologies and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office; Salesforce.com; HubSpot familiarity preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing corporate environment
