Overview

The Sales Support Manager in UL's North American HVAC Division is responsible for the management of the sales support and administrative functions in order to increase sales productivity, provide client satisfaction, and grow profits for the assigned business or territory. This position selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function(s) required to support thesales process.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manages the coordination of activities of a section or department with responsibility for meeting financial commitments, including costs, methods, and staffing.
  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers to address sales process issues and/or resolve customer needs.
  • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that increase productivity.
  • Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.
  • Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications

  • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelors Degree) in a related field plus generally eight years of experience.
  • Ability to work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires avariety of factors, including understanding the sales process.
  • Requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technicalinformation concerning specific projects or schedules to senior level management.
