This role is hybrid based out of our Northbrook, IL Headquarters
The Senior Manager reports to a director in Corproate Accounting and manages the Capitalized Assets and ongoing Capital Projects Portfolio for the Global Accounting Team. It includes Global Fixed Asset, Facility Assets, Software, Project Accounting and Lease Accounting processes for UL Solutions in accordance with US GAAP. Will own the fixed asset process from capital asset requests through accounting, depreciation, and retirement. Partners with the operating business unit finance teams to review capital asset requests, ensure proper determinations between capital and expense, monitor hundreds of millions in ongoing capital projects and ensure month end close includes the proper accounting of each project. Conducts the monthly accounting close processes, periodic transaction research and financial analysis. Works cross functionally with business unit leadership to ensure appropriate accounting for assets and leases.
