What you’ll learn & achieve:

  • Works in multiple testing technologies/categories for all aspects of scope of responsibility in licensed and unlicensed technologies (LTE, GSM, HDR, UNII, DTS, BT, BLE, WIFI, NFC, etc.).
  • Follows complex defined test plans and datasheets. Evaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results. Records and explains most complicated test results.
  • Serves as project lead or reviewer for complex test programs across multiple technologies/categoriesas assigned.
  • Communicates project status and results as needed. Holds responsibility for defining test plan, report completion and accuracy, meeting of agreed deadlines, and managing project related activities.
  • Examines complex customer samples and learns to operate appropriate tests for each case.
  • Communicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
  • Serves as an expert in multiple standards and testing technologies for scope of responsibility.
  • Directs, builds and/or adapts complex test setups and equipment to new situations, based on test plans and instructions from engineering.
  • Trains other staff onthese test procedures, equipmentand standards. Provides others with support of all equipment across multiple technologies.
  • Operates and maintains complex test equipment appropriately to measure and test customer samples.
  • Performs complex maintenance on designated test equipment and laboratory area. May perform calibration of test equipment.
  • Designs, specs, and implements new methods and service lines. Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
  • Communicates with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new equipment, processes, and forms to improve accuracy and efficiencies.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.

What makes you a great fit:

  • University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an ABET accredited program
  • Generally ten years of directly related work experience or equivalent education and experience

Total Rewards: The salary range for this position is $106,700.00 minimum budgeted by team - $142,200.00 midpoint of the salary range and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position.

All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation.  The target for this position is 20% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level.  

 

We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
