Events Coordinator - Chemical Insights Research Institue

We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Coordinator- CIRI at UL Research Institutes based in our Marietta, GA office. The Events Coordinator supports event planning and coordination efforts for Chemical Insights Research Institute (CIRI). Coordinates educational and stakeholder events, symposiums, speaker panels and event operations from start-to-finish for CIRI hosted events and external events where CIRI participates and contributes. The Events Coordinator reports to the Director of Communications and Outreach and will work closely with researchers and colleagues with event support that advance the research mission.

As the Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:

• Manage event planning details and aspects including venue logistics, travel, catering, and attendees, maintain working knowledge of complex needs of a wide variety of events.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues.
• Executes using Strategic Meeting Management Principles (SMMP) policies, guidelines, and resources
• Ensures excellent event experience and addressing potential problems that may arise.
• Ability to travel to events and manage on-site needs.

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:

• Bachelors’ degree preferably in business, communications, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in health and sustainability venues
• Minimum 2 years event planning experience
