Lead analysis of system requirements, preparation of specifications, implementation of solutions, design, coding, testing, debugging and documenting. Resolve problems by devising or modifying procedures and considering equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Identify complex system requirements by interviewing users, selecting vendors, analyzing applications, and evaluating existing and proposed systems. Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, developing schedules, implementing productivity standards, and resolving operations problems. Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending
actions. Improve system performance by investigating problems, developing specifications, identifying trends in technology, and recommending solutions. Leverage OSHA GHS (Globally Harmonized System, Supply Chain Technology and Supply Change Process knowledge, Retailer Chemical and Formulated Products Sustainability program knowledge and Safety Data Sheet knowledge to formulate and define specifications for complex software programming applications and modify existing applications. Responsible for all aspects of resource management, including interviews of candidates, onboarding new team members, performance evaluations, promotions, compensation, resource allocations and guidance, and supporting resources in their career objectives. Supervises 11 software developers and quality assurance analysts. *This position qualifies for UL LLC’s employee referral policy program.*
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, or related and seven (7) years of experience in software development
Must have work experience in each of the following: 1) managing teams of software developers and quality analysts; 2) web development in N-tier architectures; 3) OSHA GHS (Globally Harmonized System), Supply Chain Technology and Safety Data Sheet knowledge to understand and formulate business requirements; 4) Microsoft SQL Server Database and .NET Framework; and 5) AWS Cloud.
