What you’ll learn & achieve:

UL is currently seeking a Software Sales Executive based in the US. As a member of the software Sales team will be responsible to grow the Homer Grid and Homer Pro software in the US and other parts of the world.



  • Assist in answering technical pre-sales questions
  • Be responsible to convert inbound leads into actual sales
  • Provide weekly software demonstrations for customers or as needed
  • Work under moderate guidance of the sales leadership on proposals and closings
  • Use knowledge and relationships from guiding post-sales implementation of UL renewables digital products/services to collaborate with account owner on renewal strategy
  • Under moderate guidance, perform product demos
  • Coordinate post-sale activities to ensure customers are effectively adopting and utilizing software solutions
  • Serve as a single point of contact for post-sales services and ongoing relationship support for assigned customer contacts
  • Encourage upgrades and renewals and connect customers to relevant UL personnel when applicable
  • Under supervision, drive toward meeting post-sale and pre-renewal milestones for customer adoption of software
  • Take ownership of a variety of product, investment, and technical issues and ensure complete resolution from the customer’s perspective
  • Collaborate with internal resources until an issue is resolved and communicate to customer
  • Provide input to account managers and Inside Sales Executives, and Solution Architect (where appropriate) to inform renewals and sales strategy
  • Attend regular departmental and team meetings; participate as appropriate in regular industry groups such as required.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field and passionate about renewable energy
  • Fluent English and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software
  • Previous experience in customer facing job, ideally with engineer and senior level customer contacts
  • Business acumen and understanding of business sales processes Self-starter with ability to schedule and prioritize tasks and commitments.


  • Experience in the renewable industry in a similar position
  • Sales Experience in digital offerings

  • Total Rewards: Full-time employees at UL are eligible for sales commission for the relevant position. We also provide employees with health insurance, dental insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off including vacation, holiday and sick time. The salary range for this position is $52,950-55,000 base salary.

    The hourly or salary range is the range UL in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. UL may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
