What you’ll learn & achieve:



The Senior Data Scientist analyzes, develops and modifies complex data science programs. Leads projects to define specifications for complex data science applications and modifies existing applications. Supports business leadership in the analysis of software and hardware system needs, options, risks, costs and impact on business processes and goals. 



  1. Formulating, suggesting, and managing data-driven projects which are geared at furthering the business's interests. 
  2. Collating and cleaning data from various entities for later use by Associate Data Scientists. 
  3. Cross-validating models to ensure their generalizability. 
  4. Producing and disseminating non-technical reports that detail the successes and limitations of each project. 
  5. Suggesting ways in which insights obtained might be used to inform business strategies. 
  6. Staying informed about developments in Data Science and adjacent fields to ensure that outputs are always relevant. 
  7. Analyze large, complex datasets to extract insights and decide on the appropriate technique. 
  8. Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques. 
  9. Data mining using state-of-the-art methods. 
  10. Mentors, directs and trains colleagues in data science best practices  
  11. Extending customer’s data with third party sources of information when needed. 
  12. Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems. 
  13. Use data modelling and evaluation strategy to find patterns and predict unseen instances. 
  14. Performs other duties as directed. 

What makes you a great fit:

  1. Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or any other related field of science, Masters preferred 
  2. Excellent problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development. 
  3. Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages 
  4. Extensive experience using statistical computer languages to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets. 
  5. Experience with a variety of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks. 
  6. Experience with machine learning evaluation metrics and best practice. 
  7. Strong Python coding skills and problem-solving, good analytical & communication skills.  
  8. Experience of working in an Agile environment for applied research. 
  9. Experience with machine learning engineering end-to-end delivery process 
  10. Competent in machine learning design principles and techniques.  
  11. Experience with data visualization tools and techniques  
  12. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, influencing, collaboration and listening skills 
  13. Ability to articulate an idea with strong communication and presentation skills
