JOB FUNCTION: 

 

The Data and AI Solutions Group Lead is responsible for the supervision of one or more of the Data Engineering, Data Science and Machine Learning teams. Leads project teams to define specifications for complex data and AI related processes and programs. Analyzes data and AI related software and hardware system needs, options, risks, costs and impact on enterprise business process and goals.  Requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in all Data and AI Solutions disciplines and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within Digital 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Day to day supervision of a team of data scientists, data engineers and/or machine learning engineers 
  2. Analyze project requirements.  
  3. Coordinate with stakeholders  
  4. Assist in the clear definition of technical requirements  
  5. Create project plans.  
  6. Create backlog and assign resources.  
  7. Plan sprints and execute projects.  
  8. Ensure product quality through peer review, quality gate check, and comprehensive testing  
  9. Ensure project deliverable timelines are met.  
  10. Monitor and manage the performance of staff.  
  11. Mentor, direct and train colleagues in data science best practices 
  12. Lead data mining and collection procedures  
  13. Ensure data quality and integrity    
  14. Interpret and analyze complex data problems.   
  15. Actively participate in the conception, planning and prioritization of data projects.   
  16. Align data projects with organizational goals. 
  17. Manage, monitor, troubleshoot cloud infrastructure  
  18. Manage automated continuous integration pipelines for applications  
  19. Manage end-to-end delivery of projects 
  20. Formulate, suggest, and manage data-driven projects which are geared at furthering the business's interests. 
  21. Produce and disseminate non-technical reports that detail the successes and limitations of each project. 
  22. Suggest ways in which insights obtained might be used to inform business strategies. 
  23. Perform other duties as directed. 

 

What makes you a great fit:

  1. Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or any other related field of science, Masters preferred 
  2. Excellent problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development. 
  3. Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages 
  4. Extensive experience using statistical computer languages to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets. 
  5. Experience with a variety of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks. 
  6. Experience with machine learning evaluation metrics and best practice. 
  7. Strong Python coding skills and problem-solving, good analytical & communication skills.  
  8. Experience with machine learning engineering end-to-end delivery process 
  9. Competent in machine learning design principles and techniques.  
  10. Experience with data visualization tools and techniques  
  11. Experience in large-scale software development 
  12. Experience in data design, transformation, and management 
  13. Experience in solution design and delivery 
  14. Experience of business case analysis (problem identification, quantitative modeling and problem solving) 
  15. Demonstrable history of devising and overseeing data-centered projects. 
  16. Experience of leading a team in an Agile environment for applied research.  
  17. Clear understanding of Agile principles, processes, and practices. 
  18. Experience with software delivery best practices. 
  19. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, influencing, collaboration and listening skills 
  20. Ability to articulate an idea with strong communication and presentation skills  
  21. Excellent supervision and mentorship abilities 
  22. Strong organizational and leadership skills   
  23. Capability to foster a healthy, stimulating work environment that frequently harnesses teamwork
