We have an exciting opportunity for a high performing experienced Senior Talent Acquisition (TA) Advisor to join our dynamic and growing organization. The Senior TA advisor is responsible for developing and executing ambitious, proactive sourcing strategies that attract high-caliber talent to the organization.


The position works with senior leadership and formulates recruitment strategies to attract talent with a background in technology, engineering, public relations, and other areas as needed. The position leads recruitment efforts across multiple functions in the organization centered around safety science, education, standards development, and advocacy and engagement. 


The Senior TA Advisor supports primarily the UL Standards & Engagement (UL) organization and may also support UL Research institutes as well as the shared services function from time to time. The position reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition and directly interact with senior leadership, managers, and other HR colleagues.

What you’ll learn & achieve:

As the Senior TA Advisor, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:

  • Proactively lead the recruitment life cycle from the inception of the talent need identification to the completion of the hiring process.
  • In collaboration with HR Business Partners support hiring managers to define job requirements.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand the hiring needs and qualifications necessary to fill positions.
  • Develop tailored sourcing strategies that address specific needs of each position.
  • Utilize creative sourcing techniques to identify and attract top active and passive talent for a variety of positions within the organization.
  • Attain a deep understanding of the organization and its mission and strategy to articulate a clear and compelling message about its value proposition.
  • Ensure a positive recruitment experience for candidates by coordinating all aspects of the recruitment life cycle from the initial conversation to the new hire paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance by maintaining candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • As a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to hiring managers provide guidance on talent market availability, hiring decisions, offer negotiations, and other aspects of the recruitment life cycle resulting in a positive experience for the hiring manager.
  • Stay up to date on the latest recruiting industry trends and tools and shares best practices with the HR team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience building relationships with employees at all levels of an organization.
  • Working knowledge of labor laws and how they apply to interviewing, selection, recruitment, and placement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple job requisitions, projects, and administrative duties simultaneously.

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:

  • Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience in a corporate or an agency environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience recruiting in technical, or scientific environment highly preferred.
  • Experience in both recruiting or staffing agency along with corporate environment is highly preferred.
