What you’ll learn & achieve:

JOB FUNCTION

  • Junior-level position with an emphasis on content creation.
  • Coordinates different components of content creation, collaborating within the team and outside the team to compile and complete content collateral. Implements strategy related to content development.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the end-to-end development assigned content (foundational)
  • Develop content according to editorial process, standards, guidelines, and messaging strategies (continuous)
  • Write articles, newsletters, and social media posts in conjunction with the Editorial team (60%)
  • Maintain alignment with editorial strategy (continuous)
  • Actively research editorial stories through internal and external sources (30%)
  • Assist with content publication and promotion
  • Update content production calendar
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices
  • Perform other tasks as required

 

What makes you a great fit:

Minimum knowledge preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related disciplines
  • 3 years or more of related experience or demonstrated competency
  • Knowledge of AP Style Guidelines

 

Minimum skills preferred

  • Disciplined communicator
  • Broad understanding of strategic marketing, traditional media and the digital marketing landscape
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Basic understanding of project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Impeccable grasp of English language skills
  • Natural consumer of content

 

 Minimum abilities preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate understanding in technical & scientific format
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience managing and/or using a wide array of internal communication tools
