Partnering with the Director HR Business Advisor, serve as Associate HR Business Advisor aligned to the M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) Center of Expertise (COE) for UL Solutions. Acquire understanding of business across industries, markets and verticals while building competence & global capability in M&A. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) via people, process, and technology collaboration to drive value creation with the business. This integral team member will also focus on HR Business Advisor activities beyond M&A including workforce planning, organization design and talent development that require knowledge of the fundamental concepts and practices in Human Resources.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Support Director HR Business Advisor and/or Senior HR Business Advisors with group or function leader to program manage and perform M&A due diligence and integration. In addition, provide input, learn, and execute in partnership with HR team on key deliverables including, strategic workforce plan, organization design & capability, compensation and benefits related projects, talent development and succession plans at the executive level of the organization.

 

  • Assist in execution of HR initiatives such as engagement survey, compensation planning, performance management, etc. for area supported.

 

  • Work with the HR Organization on HR initiatives and change management initiatives required to execute M&A strategy.

 

  • Provide guidance and interpretation of HR initiatives, policies, procedures, and processes to HR leadership.

 

  • Help implement and measure the UL ways of working and embed into all strategies.

 

  • Support the development and execution of HR projects.

 

  • Responsible for ad-hoc projects in the TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification) HR Advisory team.

 

 

 

What makes you a great fit:

  • University Degree in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline, plus generally three years of Human Resources Generalist experience.

 

  • Effective communication and client service skills with an ability to build confidence with customers and provide creative solutions.

 

  • Working knowledge of labor law as well as market knowledge with respect to employee relations, recruitment, compensation, and performance management.

 

  • Demonstrated proficiency with commonly used business and HR software applications.

 

  • General knowledge of human resources policies, procedures and processes related to all functional areas of Human Resources.

 

  • General analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.

 

  • General project management skills with the ability to complete project deliverables accurately and on time.
