What you’ll learn & achieve:

Responsible for the implementation of field strategy for the GMP, QMS and Food Safety audit business in conjunction with business leadership. As assigned by Registrar Technical Manager, the Registrar Field Operations Supervisor  identifies, onboards, trains and monitors new and experienced staff on the completion of assigned client GMP, QMS and food safety audits and other related Advisory Services.  Manages operational procedures and develops best practices. Ensures audits are performed with consistency and efficiency through calibration and management of assigned FTE and IC Audit Teams, participates in the technical review of audit reports, acts as a competent evaluator, and develops competency to act in role as program lead.

  • Provides input to and implementation of the strategy of the GMP, QMS and Food Safety business in conjunction with business leadership.
  • Responsible for the identification, onboarding, training and monitoring of new field staff in the completion of assigned client GMP, QMS and Food Safety audits and other services.
  • Supports the ongoing development and monitoring of current field staff in the completion of assigned client GMP, QMS and Food Safety audits and other services. This task will include actively scheduling of audits.
  • Supervises the schedule of audit process and work load projections for assigned regional/industry segment audit staff.
  • Supervisors budget for specific areas of business and costs related to the onboarding and training of new auditors and in-field monitoring of existing audit team.
  • Provides input to the development of programs for productivity and performance improvement.
  • Provides practical and Technical input related to assessment tool development/improvement, technical review committee, competent evaluators, and program leads. Supports best practices for operational protocol.
  • Ensures audit work is done consistently and efficiently through evaluation of Auditors.
  • Supervises the performance of assigned audit team by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
  • Supports Accreditation Audits as needed.
  • Supports the development of relationships with new business targets and the development of new services required of the GMP, QMS and Food Safety business strategy.
  • Completes client audits as needed due to resource gaps and as required to gain/maintain auditor credentials.
  • Completes client advisory services as needed based on skill set, expertise and available resources.

What makes you a great fit:

  • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Science or a related disciplines plus generally four years of directly related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and innovative thinking to problem solve and streamline processes.
  • Ability to remain, objective and professional in challenging situations
  • Ability to work in fast paced work environment both independently and in a group setting and to interact with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to lead the team to improve the performance in quality and build productive capacity.
  • Proficient in internet navigation, e-mail and PC software such as Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in quality, vendor and/or operation management of consumer product(s) manufacturing, testing or retailing.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus.
  • This role may require up to 50% travel as needed for training.
