What you’ll learn & achieve:

We are seeking a Regulatory Specialist with expertise in Environment, Health, Safety, and Transportation (EHS&T) regulations.

  • Provide advisory services to clients which may involve local, regional, national or international knowledge of industrial or consumer sectors.
  • Identify, collect, and interpret science-based reports, data and regulations in order to prepare documents for clients and government agencies.
  • Develop Environment, Health, Safety, and Transportation (EHS&T) information for the control and use of chemicals and electrical/electronic products in the marketplace.
  • Utilizes relevant software and can contribute to troubleshooting and enhancement of these software products.
  • May train junior regulatory staff. Interfaces with management to provide consultation on regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains credentials and certifications where applicable.
  • Classification, packaging, marking, labelling, and documentation for all product types for all modes of transport.
  • Collaborates with multi-functional teams to improve and assist with processes and/or testing of software; provides feedback to improve software products where applicable
  • Responsible for fulfilling client advisory services projects, responding to and resolving client inquiries, developing and delivering training materials, tracking regulatory changes, and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.

What makes you a great fit:

  • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Toxicology, or a related discipline.
  • Five years of experience in Dangerous Goods Transportation, Regulatory, Product Stewardship or EHS with an emphasis on and expertise in international air (ICAO/IATA), sea (IMDG), and U.S. Dangerous Goods Transportation regulations.
  • Current active Dangerous Goods Transportation Certification (IATA, IMDG, DOT)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, with stakeholder reporting experience.
  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Effective time management to handle and prioritize multiple projects and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
