Work on web-based development initiatives to design optimized and scalable cloud-based solutions. Work with the Architecture Team on highly technical enterprise and design initiatives and contribute to tasked design requests. Responsible for code development, code testing, research, tool evaluation, documenting patterns and standards, technology evaluation, and mentoring junior developers through hands-on assistance as well as formal and informal training. Design and execute software development plans. Ensure software development life cycle activities are consistent with the direction set by the Architecture Team and generally accepted best practices. Develop and manage efficient functions and stored procedures using MSSQL and Oracle database. Use MS Azure services to develop and release cloud native solutions. Create database queries and programs, analyze data, and assist in migrating it to more scalable systems. Act as a Scrum Master, ensuring the team is meeting its iteration objectives. Lead projects with cross functional and geographically distributed team. *This position qualifies for UL LLC’s employee referral policy program.*
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or related and three (3) years of experience in application development
Must have work experience in each of the following: 1) TIC industry experience; 2) 2 years of Scrum master experience, including applying SAFe Agile methodologies; 3) application development using .Net/NodeJS, C#, ASP.Net MVC, and JavaScript and design and implement web APIs software module; 4) develop and manage efficient functions and stored procedures using MSSQL and Oracle database; 5) use MS Azure services to develop and release cloud native solutions; and 6) MS Power Platform tools.
