What you’ll learn & achieve:

Key Actions:

  • Attendee registration/event websites builds – Create registration websites and on-line site content with strategic Marketer and Event Specialist, as well as invitations, reminders and confirmation emails, working with the marketing automoation team to ensure compliance. 
  • Digital event - build hub and run event; works with Event Specialists on logistics; independently creates virtual event environment (“venue”), and acts as production manager within digital event platforms (Cvent, WeChat, Go to Webinar).
  • Lead Retrieval - Support, set up, and enablement of Lead Retrieval tool (i.e., iCapture) for tradeshows.
  • Webinars – Act as back up and liaison for Webinars production team using Go to Webinar; and for APAC team using WeChat.
  • Event Mobile app builds - Works with strategic Marketer and Event Specialist to build and manage mobile event app for key/strategic events.
  • On-site/live event technology(ies) - Set up and oversite of (i.e., attendee check-in, on-site mobile app support)
  • Reporting – Develop and utilize reports from event tools/software; develop comprehendible reports for sharing across team and with stakeholders; using data to make informed future decisions.



  • Creation of a positive experience for the end user (attendees) via the tools described
  • Overall responsibility for set up and management of event technology tools used on-site for live events and/or during virtual and hybrid events; with the two-fold goals of:
  • Increasing data and insights gathering for sales enablement; and
  • Enabling a positive and customized attendee experience
  • Works in conjunction with Event Operations on overall digital event tools account management; and uses tools to perform day-to-day operations as focal point (troubleshooting and support for UL users during specific event usage of various event technologies)
  • Ambassador of UL Brand - Brand compliance and consistency; support creation of UL branded templates or other event tool needs
  • Preparation of weekly and quarterly event metric reports (data gleaned via event tools)
  • Stay current on event technology trends and capabilities that create new opportunities for UL; Best Industry Practices
  • In conjunction with Event Operations, support creating and updating of event technologies processes, guidelines, training materials and standard operating procedures
  • Schedules and leads rehearsals and training sessions for event specialists, Marketers and digital event presenters (cross-functional stakeholders)
  • In conjunction with Event Operations, assists with training sessions for event specialists
  • In conjunction with Event Operations, conduct quarterly audit of event technology platforms due to internal compliance
  • Budget tracking and ensure cost (re)allocations

What makes you a great fit:

Requirements & Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, meetings/events management, hospitality or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in event technology
  • Experience in the following technology platforms a plus (Cvent, WeChat, Go to Webinar, iCapture, Marketo)
  • Flexibility to work extended hours; nights, weekends, holidays, with ~15% Travel required
  • Ability to work with UL internal partners at all different levels (Cross-functional stakeholders)
  • Ability to work with various UL external partners and vendors/ vendor management
  • Strong Communication, Organizational Skills, Detail Oriented
  • Digital Event Strategist Certification (DES) a plus; Cvent certifications a plus
