What you’ll learn & achieve:

The Business Advisor (Advisor) position is responsible for delivering consultative solutions in support of the Professional Services area.  This is a highly visible role working with clients and providing deep expertise in system administration and training. The business advisor may also be required to support potential and existing clients in strategic road-mapping, tactical planning, business process reengineering, implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and industry best practices for driving culture, competency and high performance within a business environment.


The Advisor will be engaged across all phases of new service development, with particular emphasis on solution ideation, design, testing and implementation. This position will also involve the planning, design and execution of pilot programs.

  • Perform ComplianceWire system administration
  • Provide system training to both small and large groups.
  • Pre-Sales analysis and support, gather requirements using client meetings, system/document analysis, requirements workshops, etc. and prepare customized Work Orders/SOW’s for professional service engagements.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, synthesize from high-level concepts and/or granular details to a general understanding of client business requirements, distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Support development of new professional service solutions/products to address market opportunities and client requirements. Evolve existing solutions based on changing market conditions.
  • Lead teams or work independently to consistently and successfully deliver consulting solutions for clients.
  • Be the “subject matter expert” related to ELMS functionality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Be able to create clear (sometimes technical) written documents, deliver compelling presentations, adjust content to audience, drive to the bottom line
  • Engage in strategic conversations regarding UL capabilities and benefits with prospective and/or existing customer constituents
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Support global clientele
  • Ability/willingness to travel up to 50%

What makes you a great fit:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of business-to-business consulting and/or relevant functional experience in business process reengineering, or implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Experience in delivering technology-enabled business programs
  • Specific GxP compliance knowledge is preferred
  • Possess strong leadership skills, and be interested in growth and development 
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of the business sector represented; the competitors in the market space; and the regulations and quality principles and best practices that guide and demand the customer’s business solution
  • Experience working in compliance-based business environments, such as life sciences or financial systems, as well as working on business processes such as manufacturing and quality, training/competency
  • Platform knowledge – understand LMS solutions that can be tailored to clients’ needs and linked to resident client systems (Quality, HR, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Previous experience implementing and/or managing systems in a validated training environment, particularly in the life sciences industry
  • Knowledge of training processes and standards required by a company regulated by the FDA preferred
  • Experience working in a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) environment
  • Able to work with a variety of clients at various levels at the same time
  • Working in an entrepreneurial environment in a dynamic situation – react quickly and think on feet, be creative and understand what the client needs
  • High level of proficiency in defining and managing client expectations through verbal communication, oral communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, a Masters degree is preferred
