Global Field Operations Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the field strategy for the GMP, QMS and Food Safety audit business in conjunction with business leadership. Responsible to lead and manage regional field managers and field supervisors in the planning and execution of GMP, QMS and Food Safety audit business in conjunction with business leadership.  Through direct and indirect reports, develops and manages the pipeline of potential auditors and the utilization of qualified field staff including coordinating with technical services for the training of new and experienced staff on the completion of assigned client GMP, QMS and food safety audits (supply chain).  Manages operational procedures and develops best practices related to the conduct of audits meeting consistency, quality and ethical standards.  Direct responsibility for budget management including revenue attainment and margin analysis and adjustment related to auditor pool, and controlling costs related to auditor competency development.   

• Provides input to and implements the strategy of the GMP, QMS and Food Safety business in conjunction with business leadership.
• Sets and manages the schedule of audit process and work load projects for entire GMP, QMS and Food Safety business in all regions.
• Manages budget target attainment and costs related to the onboarding and training of new auditors and in-field monitoring of existing audit supervisors and assigned team.  Identifies opportunities for cost controls and field resource needs by region.
• Manages and develops programs for productivity and utilization improvement, ensuring audit work is done on-time, within budget, consistently and efficiently through direct management of field resources. 
• Plans for adherence to the training requirements related to new or revised assessment tool development/improvements based on input from Technical Services team.
• Overall management of the identification, contracting and termination of auditors related to auditor competency criteria and operational procedures and policies.
• Manages the performance of direct reports (estimated to be 5 to 10 direct reports in various time zones) by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback, coaching and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.  Responsible for supporting career development of FTE field staff in conjunction with the employee.
• Supports Accreditation Audits as needed.
• Supports the development of relationships with new business targets and the development of new services required of the GMP, QMS and Food Safety business strategy.
• Completes client audits as needed due to resource gaps and as required to gain/maintain auditor credentials.

• University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) required. Prefer Graduate Science Degree in Food or Pharma Sciences, Engineering, Technology, or similar.
• Willingness and ability to travel to other countries, states, regions, provinces and or throughout any assigned or designated country (up to 50 to 80% annually).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and, if required, fully proficient/literate in a 2^nd language.
• Excellent oral communication skills; capable of addressing high executive audiences and conduct opening and closing conferences in front of multiple people.
• Excellent mathematical skills and analytical skills. Creative and innovative thinking to problem solve and streamline processes.
• Ability to lead a team of auditors during the execution of a project and/or specialized audits.  Proficient in internet navigation, e-mail and PC software such as Microsoft Word, Excel.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in execution and management related to quality/GMP audit discipline including budget/resource management.
• Preferred to hold one or more scope specific professional credential(s), such as: GFSI recognized auditor credential; CQA, RABQSA, IRCA, RAC, GRMA; Pharmaceutical GMP Professional Certification (CPGP)
