Consumer Associate Chemist I

Under direct supervision, performs specialized laboratory testing and analyses of substantial variety and complexity. Performs calculations, prepares reports and assess proper calibration and standardization of equipment and procedures. Utilizes standard, basic lab equipment as well as more complex automated instrumentation. Performs data validation, data collection, and data review.

• Performs routine tests and procedures with minimal supervision and utilizes GMP/GLP practices.
• Performs basic and complex assay preparation.
• Performs complex/non-routine or detailed test and analyses.
• Performs calculations, prepares reports, and assesses proper calibration and standardization of equipment and procedures.
• Implements tests and procedures requiring selection and adaptation of test equipment and test procedures. Records and analyzes data and prepares written reports.
• May be required to train others to perform routine tests.
• Utilizes standard, basic lab equipment as well as more complex automated instrumentation.
• Performs validation data collection and data review.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Some University education (Associate degree or equivalent) in Chemistry or a related discipline
• Six or more years of laboratory experience.
• A strong background in organic chemistry is preferred.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm)
