RPA developer supporting the Finance, Accounting and Payroll teams within the UL organization. Design and develop process automation using core RPA workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, documented, maintainable and easy to understand. Work collaboratively with process experts across global process, SMEs and business, and provide recommendations to re-engineer processes to improve automation potential. Work with stakeholders during process analysis, script development, test and UAT phases to deliver RPA automations. Understand and communicate why particular approach would be best fit for requirements and deliver clean configuration and testing. Perform software construction, unit testing and debugging, including preparation of new software, reuse of existing code, modification of existing programs, or integration of purchased solutions. Build, test deliver and maintain robotic automation capabilities using industry leading RPA software. Provide education and training to businesses and functions on leading-edge process automation strategies and technologies. Lead the development of proof-of-concept projects, including Chat-Bots for internal stakeholders. Implement process improvements to process owners and SMEs prior to designing automation solutions in accordance with Lean Six Sigma principles. Identify risks and issues and work with leadership, process owners and development team to assess and address risks. Address issues related to RPA infrastructure, automation performance and maintenance of live automations. Act as an expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation processes. Master’s degree computer science, computer engineering, or IT and two (2) years of experience in software development.
Must have work experience in each of the following: 1) RPA development with Blue Prism, Catalytic and Python; 2) experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Flow, Microsoft Power Virtual Agent and Microsoft Power BI; 3) integration of functionality of RPA tools; 4) understanding of accounting, payroll and financial processes as well as audit trail and control requirements for SOX compliance; 5) relational database design and querying concepts; and 6) MS excel and VBA macros.
