What you’ll learn & achieve:

Reporting to the Corporate Strategy Director, the Strategy Analyst will assist in the coordination of strategic plans to ensure the continued successful growth and profitability of the organization. Assists in researching organizational positioning, conducting environmental scans and performing financial analysis to support business and strategic planning.  Tracks progress for specific initiatives.  Supports the identification and may evaluate acquisitions divestitures and organic business opportunities that are in line with the organization's long-range goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports corporate strategy, business development and/or corporate initiatives, including collaborating with business lines across Regional and Functional areas.
  • Assists in executing activities required to support corporate strategies, priorities, and special initiative projects.
  • Supports the development of market and competitive intelligence including identifying disruptive threats and opportunities, analyzing competitors’ strengths and weaknesses and understanding key market dynamics that will position the company to win.
  • Supports the prioritization of corporate strategic initiatives, and assists in evaluating investment opportunities for their strategic and financial value.
  • Communicates and generates support for recommendations among business leaders across the organization.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information, and develops projections, reports and, or presentations.
  • Coordinates input from cross-functional and cross regional business units to facilitate opportunities for improvement, drive strategic initiatives, and develop processes and tools to assist in the integration of organizational plans.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

 

What makes you a great fit:

  • University degree (Equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree) in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or related field plus generally 2 plus years of related experience. 
  • Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with proven success in synthesizing large data sets related to a wide variety of functional business problems.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
