What you’ll learn & achieve:

UL is currently seeking a technical Sales Executive to grow our advisory business in the US.  As a member of the sales team will be responsible to present, introduce and market UL’s renewable advisory capabilities in the US market. This position will be part of the technical sales team in North America with the goal to expand our renewables advisory business to developers, operators, investors and lenders.

  • Identify and engage prospective clients in the Renewables space. Serves as main point of client contact throughout sales cycle.
  • Proactively engage with existing accounts to provide awareness of Advisory opportunities
  • Maintains high-touch relationships with potential accounts to ensure capture of expansion opportunities
  • Maintains industry connections to understand market trends and anticipate tailwinds and headwinds
  • Quickly builds trust and engages with customers to identify customer needs. Builds trusted advisor status with relevant account owners.
  • Uses technical credibility to build relationships with buyers and centers of influence, in support of account managers
  • Maintains knowledge base of Renewables industry to anticipate and react to disruption and proactively address customer needs
  • Create proposals and close business opportunities
  • Brings in additional technical resources when needed to support sales opportunities
  • Provides input to account owner during account planning process on potential growth opportunities
  • Supports smooth hand-off of customer to implementation teams or customer success

What makes you a great fit:

  • 2+ years of related sales experience in the Renewables space
  • Strong knowledge and experience within the Renewables industry
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Team player with a collaborative work style
  • Ability to ideate and capitalize on opportunities with existing customers
  • Timeliness is critical as well as strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
