As our global footprint continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Commercial Analyitcs & Intelligence. This position establishes and directs a center of excellence for commercial analytics and data intelligence to support UL Sales and Marketing activities.  Collaborates across operating units to ensure a single source of truth for data gathering, analysis, and application.

What you’ll learn & achieve:

  • Establish a Center of Excellence for data analytics and intelligence to drive data-driven decisions that enable market wins across global and local teams
  • Collaboratively work with functional leadership across the organization to establish a data-driven culture, identifying and tracking KPIs, driving decisions, and evaluating ongoing performance through data analysis
  • Drive the development and maintenance of a single-source of sales, marketing, and commercial data architecture and taxonomy
  • Provide the strategy on design, development, and implementation of data, analytics, and integration solutions across Marketing and Sales organization to drive profitable growth for UL
  • Provide thought leadership and maintain keen awareness of technological changes and innovations in the data and analytics field
  • Owns commercial security guidelines and associated risk of data leakage and loss
  • Oversee organizational data strategy, data architecture, and data engineering to develop a data and analytics infrastructure that supports the business based on a wide range data sources across a global enterprise
  • Oversee implementation of solutions to ingest, store, analyze and visualize data to streamline processes and enable global and local sales and marketing activities
  • Ensure enterprise-wide alignment to shared standards for data collection, measurement, analysis, and reporting
  • Lead the development and optimization of account planning and money mapping tools and technologies
  • Collaborates closely with IT to identify and execute on strategies that enable streamlined data collection and analysis
  • Collaborates closely with Commercial Operations, Marketing and Revenue Managements to identify strategic opportunities for the application of data science, tools, and technologies to support business goals and meet market opportunities
  • Close interaction with Commercial Excellence CCO
  • Collaboration with leaders across the Commercial Excellence team and Revenue Management
  • Build personal relationships and establish credibility and collaboration with internal stakeholders

What makes you a great fit:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field strongly preferred); MBA preferred
  • Specialized training or certifications in data engineering or data analytics preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of total professional experience managing IT teams; 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • 10+ years related experience in data engineering, architecture, or analytics required
  • Experience leading or participating in digital transformation projects
  • Experience with digital platforms, understanding the latest in digital strategies
  • Proficiency with statistical, machine learning modeling techniques
  • Experience or background understanding commercial and/or marketing data preferred
  • Experience working with diverse, global teams strongly preferred
  • Experience managing and delivering clear, impactful communications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and influence behaviors to help change across an organization
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis and/or measure success
