Manager-Global Process Owner (Credit)

Reporting to the Director GPO Order-to-Cash, this person will lead the Global Credit process stream within the organization and more specifically with the Global Order-to-Cash organization. The scope of this position includes design of credit processes, management of related service delivery (execution), and oversight of enabling technology decisions. The position is responsible for organization design, resource management, control process management and prioritization of all related initiatives and decisions regarding people, process, and technology:

- From a service delivery perspective, the position has management responsibility for the Credit organization and accountability, assuring that all operating and financial objectives are achieved. This position evaluates, recommends and implements the process changes and/or new services. Finally, the position, in collaboration with key stakeholders, identifies opportunities to deliver most cost-efficient services where appropriate.

- As global process owner, the position oversees the design, development, and deployment (to the greatest extent possible) of standard global processes across the UL Globe. The position provides partnership, in collaboration with other key stakeholders, to deliver services meet agreed service level and customer expectation. The position approves, documents and communicates any approved exceptions from standard processes and policies.

- The position evaluates, recommends, prioritizes, and oversees deployment of relevant enabling technology. This will include identification of emerging software tools, feasibility evaluation (economic and operational), coordination of deployment and change management.

The role will require travel as it is a global role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance related
• 8+ years of experience managing a client-service oriented operational function with experience in management of medium corporate initiatives/projects, strategic thinking, relationship management, financial budgets and processes and recruiting, developing, coaching and monitoring employees
• Experience overseeing performance of global team members
• Strong execution and leadership skills with the ability to understand the issues which global Credit Organization is facing today, with the ability to implement process improvement initiatives which optimize operating efficiency.
• Experience in leading process excellence and performance improvement, six sigma training or similar experience preferred
• Exceptional communication skills
• Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization and influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
• Problem solving and root cause identification skills
• Experience with managing leaders of others (managers\supervisors)
