What you’ll learn & achieve:



Works independently under minimal guidance to acquire new Key+ tier customers with the goal of ultimately handing them off to Account Managers to maintain and grow sales.


  1. Under guidance from the account management and sales leadership, develops the strategy for the hunting of new accounts from a book of new logo prospects with Global, Strategic, or Key tier potential; identifies accounts with the highest potential and develops acquisition plan (e.g., “tip of the spear,” target buyer persona)
  2. Cultivates relationships with potential new logo customers who have potential to reach Key+ account tier status
  3. Understands customer industry and enterprise to focus on problem / solution discovery
  4. Navigates customer organizations to identify decision makers and centers of influence
  5. Lays foundation for sustainable relationship with customer throughout sales process and ensures successful handover to account manager after ‘landlording’ period
  6. Maintains a high level of domain knowledge
  7. Systematically prioritizes high-potential leads (Key+ tiers) to develop them into new logo acquisitions
  8. Has the working knowledge and experience to drives the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement to closed sale
  9. Once deal is closed, continues to cultivate relationship for a short period of time to ensure successful service delivery, then transitions ownership to an account management team (e.g., provides customer context to new account owner, make customer introductions)
  10. Recognizes additional opportunities for account growth after initial sale is closed
  11. Receives qualified leads from assigned LDR and collaborates to understand pipeline of new leads; provides coaching and feedback to LDR
  12. Works with Sales Support Specialists for quote generation and order taking
  13. Leverages engineers, solution architects, and practitioners to run demonstrations, provide subject matter expertise, and support proposal development as needed
  14. Partners with success and fulfillment teams to transition implementation after closing a sale
  15. Facilitates smooth hand off of customer accounts to account managers after completion of ‘landlording’ period

What makes you a great fit:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Deep knowledge and experience with assigned industry and/or product / service line
  • Business acumen and understanding of business sales processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills
