UL is investing in its own digital transformation leveraging cloud solutions and services. Utilizing industry and market knowledge of design and architecture, the individual would be required to design, review and execute technology flow for customized applications at UL. The Solution Architect is responsible for the creation and execution of an application implementation strategy focused on the delivery of online, customer & internal facing business capabilities. The core of the strategy involves the design and construction of an optimized architecture that promotes performance, scalability, ease of support, service reuse and security while delivering business value through an accelerated application system development lifecycle.
The Solution Architect is responsible for overall solution design and delivery of enterprise wide, multi-channel solutions that directly align with the needs of UL's digital strategy. They will be tasked with translating business requirements into specific end to end application solutions. This includes working with UL thought leaders to understand the underlying business architecture and provide oversight over identification of functional requirements, creation of an appropriate technical design, construction activities, testing and deployment tasks.
The Solution Architect is expected to have experience designing across multiple systems such as web applications, web services (both WCF and RESTful), data strategy, and reporting services.
