What you’ll learn & achieve:

Provide project management skills to the Digital Team's Innovation workstream to deliver the promised value to the organization and providing feedback to the organization on how to continually improve our project management.  This is an opportunity to work with new innovative technologies including AI/ML.

  • Coordinate and contribute to the development of the project charter

  • Lead workstream/initiative planning activities in partnership with business and functional leaders, and under the guidance of the workstream

  • Ensure project remains within budget, on schedule with the documented scope

  • Track project delivery to business value targets set in the project charter

  • Drive daily, operation delivery of an initiative(s) to deliver expected outcomes and value within the defined governance structure and processes

  • Develop, monitor, and report on detailed work plans including activities, milestones, dependencies metrics, and deliverables

  • Identify, monitor and report risks and issues to workstream/initiative delivery, and escalate as appropriate

  • Coordinates dependencies with other workstreams or initiatives, as appropriate

  • Provide clear status updates

  • Serve as the primary contact for workstream/initiative activities, questions, or concerns

  • Ensure for external vendors there is a clear Statement of Work with measurable deliverables and dates.

  • Ensure external vendors are integrated into the project team.  

  • Work with senior team members on  any performance or personnel issues with external vendors.  

  • Provides overall leadership and support to the project team

  • Indirectly manage project resources to accomplish project scope

What makes you a great fit:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with basic data science or machine learning principles
  • Preferred: PMP, Prince 2, and/or Agile certifications preferred but not required with related hands on delivery experience
  • Six or more years of experience with a track record of successfully completing structured projects.
  • Experience in leading projects and programs in strategy deployment, operations improvement, technology projects
  • Strong project management skill including familiarity with of multiple project approaches (e.g., waterfall, agile), collaboration techniques, and a working knowledge of organizational change management
  • Experience in project financial and resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting
  • Experience partnering with businesses and functions to foster collaboration and provide support
  • Experience leading teams of people, preferably indirect leadership
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
  • Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision
  • An independent problem-solver that can make high quality judgements and decisions quickly with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and ask questions to ensure the team continues to consider the expected outcomes and business results
  • Ability to escalate difficult messages and resolve conflict
  • Ability to innovate under new and/or changing conditions
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
