What you’ll learn & achieve:

Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with strong technical knowledge and field experience. Provides expert advice in all technical areas of all industrial hygiene and testing and inspection. Represents UL on technical committees of national and/or international organizations. Provides leadership, technical advice and counsel to both internal staff and clients.

  • Technical resource for clients and staff engaged in indoor environmental sciences, IAQ, Water Quality, Industrial Hygiene, and Sustainability.
  • Collaborate with field operations and laboratory personnel on analytical procedures, field standard operating procedures, equipment acquisition and evaluation.
  • Develop and execute technical training for field staff.
  • Develop and provide education workshops for clients in Building Management (IAQ, IEQ, ASHRAE 62, ASHRAE 188,  Mold, Asbestos O&M, etc).
  • Provide technical writing communiques for clients and support report writing staff.
  • Interact with sales professionals on new proposal development.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
  • Ensure compliance and familiarity with all State and Federal regulations regarding OSHA, e.g Hazard Communication, GHS, and Job Hazard Analysis.
  • Assist in management of the quality assurance quality control program.

What makes you a great fit:

  • University education (Masters prefered) in a related discipline plus directly related work experience of 5-10 years.
  • CIH or CIH/CSP preferred.
  • Experience in Indoor Air Quality preferred. Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in areas of expertise, including application to complex, new, or unusual products.
  • Working knowledge of industry issues, needs, and problems.
  • Ability to communicate with clients on a number of issues related to buildings and the Indoor Environment.
